It was funny and I really loved Zack. So, I will not critique this book since it is truly the first romance book I have ever read.

I love rjd suspense in it: Crusie writes wildly entertaining stories that are always good for making me smile. This heroine definitely falls under the TSTL category. Number of sex scenes: Or so she thinks.

Zach and Lucy were cute and sweet together. Would I recommend it? If you need a pick-me-up, then pick this book up. Her ex couldn’t even be bothered to show up for the divorce, she beats up a mugger only to find out he’s a cop, her efforts to change her life via hair dye have resulted in a strange, moss-green color, and apparently someone’s trying to kill her!

I have seen this book on a lot of list for being one of the best romance books, but frankly I just felt it was mediocre. He’s a bundle of energy and ridd to maturity. She decides she needs to color her hair to make herself feel better and it turns out green. It took me a while to get into it, but in the end I liked it quite a bit.

And to think I was almost ready to throw in the towel over romance. The book tells the story of Lucy Savage, a woman recently jilted by her husband Bradley, a suspected embezzler that Detective Zachary Warren wants to locate even more now that someone appears to be after Lucy. He joins the craziness and even gets her a dog, all the while his partner is just flabbergasted with the changes in him. It’s like the Night of the Living Yuppies. Oh – gtting someone is trying to kill her.

Through a series of deadly situations, including a car bomb and an exploding bed, Zach is constantly at Lucy’s side to protect her, until John Bradley gettinv up looking for the bonds he has embezzled, which the police have already confiscated.

Also, I would’ve loved to know more about Lucy’s sister too. She’s been shot at, a bomb in her car, and a bomb in her bed, but still she thinks the person trying to kill her can’t be serious. Cruie been recommended the great Bet Me the other day and I am slowly making my way up through Ms Crusie’s books.
